Pediatric Dental Technology in Monrovia, CA
At our practice, we use advanced dental technology to enhance every aspect of your child’s care. From early diagnosis to gentle treatment, our technology allows us to deliver care that is more accurate, efficient, and comfortable.
Our goal is to make dental visits easier for children while helping parents feel confident and informed about their child’s oral health.
Traditionally, dentists use X-rays to find out what's going on below the surface, developing them in a darkroom using chemicals and examining the resulting films on a special light board.
Digital radiography eliminates that cumbersome process. Now, a tiny sensor placed in the mouth acts like a miniature camera with an X-ray-sensitive chip, exposing patients to 50%–90% less radiation compared to traditional X-ray techniques. The resulting highly detailed image of your mouth is almost instantaneously displayed on our computer screen, offering all the conveniences of digital imaging.
We can rotate it, magnify it, adjust contrast, and even color-code it for educational purposes. Because it helps our patients clearly understand the root issues behind their dental health, we are able to work together to determine the best treatment options for each case.
This advanced technology allows you to relax in your chair while viewing real-time images of the inside of your mouth, magnified beyond normal size on a nearby monitor. Not only does this make it easier to see and understand what the doctor is explaining, but it also helps us maintain highly accurate records from one visit to the next.
Our office uses the Fotona LightWalker laser as part of our commitment to modern, high-quality dental care. Designed for both hard and soft tissue procedures, this advanced technology allows for precise treatment and may support a gentler, more comfortable experience in selected cases.
The WAND is a technological device used to deliver a controlled amount of local anesthesia. It is computer-controlled and regulates the flow of the anesthetic during the injection. This helps reduce discomfort and anxiety for patients.
It is an advanced system that makes the delivery of local anesthesia more precise and comfortable. Most patients experience discomfort during injections due to the rapid flow of anesthetic. The WAND slows down the flow of the numbing agent, helping to minimize pain and improve the overall experience.
